Seiko, seven months old, quickly and successfully worked a regulation TD (human footstep) track laid by tracking judge Lois Ballard to become certified as ready to participate in a tracking test. Thanks to Lois for taking a few photos and sending them to me.
From the Tracking Club of Wisconsin (TCoW) website:
"A certification track is a blind track with the same requirements as a standard AKC TD test track. It will be from 440 to 500 yards in length and will have 3 to 5 turns. The track will be aged from 30 minutes to 2 hours old.
The Certification is the judge’s statement that the dog has satisfactorily performed a certification track and is ready to enter a TD test."
