January 2010
Olive and I flew to southern California this month to spend a week with John Willmore and Diane Webb. They own Olive's sister Asti and were considering the possibility of adding Olive to their household. Diane and John had lined up a number of activities for us for the purpose of assessing how Olive would fit in and meet their needs as a competitive performance dog.
One of the unplanned things that we did was take an evening walk up to the top of a hill near their home. We enjoyed the vistas into the far distance which included the Pacific Ocean in one direction and the Santa Ana Mountains in another. Then, lo and behold, the setting sun bathed us for a short time in a warm, fiery, nearly ethereal light that made the dogs appear to glow. How beautiful!
Fortunately, I had my camera along. This is a photo of John and Asti, aka ABS FC Arlina Ossie von Dorndorf RN AXJ BHP-2.
ps Olive remained in California.
