Thought I'd share one of my favorite agility photos of MACH Jackie Brink v Dorndorf L VCD2 RN TT. She was loved, owned, and handled by Maxine Brinker who lost her to old age yesterday. Heartfelt condolences to Maxine on the loss of her great gal Ginger.

A match made in heaven, Ginger belonged to Maxine Brinker of Illinois and for many, many years was her "special old lady." She had the constitution of a battleship. Ginger became an AKC Master Agility Champion on August 11, 2001, the first dachshund ever to accomplish this feat. She had such a long and wonderful life with Maxine. Rest in peace dear Gin.

"Sincere condolences to you and Maxine on Ginger's passing...she paved the way for the rest of us with agility dachshunds." Karen Mann

"What a dog and what a team! RIP Ginger." Jolanta Jeanneney

"I've never met either of them yet know their legacy well. Thanks Ginger for all you've done to inspire and advance the sport of agility for dachshunds!!" Sharon McDonald

"It seems like just yesterday that I handed Maxine and Ginger their MACH bar. The judge was Marq Cheek, the show was Cream City Canines trial. Barney will be waiting for her at the bridge and together these two trailblazers can run and jump with no missed contacts or refusals called." Debby McNamara

"What a wonderful life and legacy. Run with the wind dear Ginger." Kathy Johnson

Multi CH Red Top's Klatjofs, father of my Viljo, was again awarded an Excellent rating, placed 3rd in Champion Class Males, and received Certificate Qualification at the Finnish Winner Show in Helsinki!

The dog that placed 1st in the class over Svante yesterday was not shown today. The dog that placed 2nd in the class yesterday was rated Excellent but unplaced today. A quick study of the results in this class from both days indicate that Svante was paws down the overall highest placed Champion Male in these two shows. Congratulations to Svante and his owner/handler Tia Eskelinen!

Nutmeg Eligible For The American Kennel Club National Agility Championship! 12/03/2011

Maxine Brinker called today to say that she received a letter from AKC. Nutmeg is eligible for entry in the AKC National Agility Championship in Reno, Nevada March 30-April 1, 2012! I looked up Nutmeg's eligibility report online. She earned 416 MACH points, qualifed in 50 Excellent B classes, and qualified in both classes ("Double Q") at 18 trials from December 1, 2010 thru November 30, 2011!

Maxine was happy to get the letter. But she says that instead of traveling to Nevada, she plans to attend area trials this spring - and hopes to finish requirements for MACH4!

Jolanta Jeannney has produced two beautiful calendars for 2012 that are now available for purchase.

1. Wirehaired Dachshunds Calendar is available at: http://www.cafepress.com/picturesbyjolanta.597440368

2. Helderberg Seasons Calendar is available at:  http://www.cafepress.com/picturesbyjolanta.597440367

Jolanta is asking those who order to "let me know what you think. I did my best, but this is a new adventure/venture for me."

Well I think that the photograhy is absolutely outstanding and I like both calendars very much. I chose to order "Helderberg Seasons" and I look forward to seeing it when it arrives and then looking at it for an entire year.
