Ugo, multi show winner and Group winner at the National Dog Show in St. Petersburg in August, has also won a diploma in work on fox (pictured in practice below). Ugo's mother, the Swedish-bred Ornbergets Amber is a granddaughter of Nick v Dorndorf!
Received this nice Christmas card from Natalia Zav'jlova. The dog on the left is Sky Spirit Uverennost v Sebe aka Ugo.

Another great performance by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Columbus, Ohio last night! I could do with more music and less story-telling but TSO's Christmas Canon is alone worth nearly the price of admission to me! It was their traditional last performance of the tour which I am happy to say they ended on an awesome note!
I posted congratulations to the Knoll Family for Seiko winning Absolute in Kirbyville, Texas on Saturday. But now an even bigger Congratulations to the Knolls for Oslo winning Absolute in Kirbyville on Sunday! For this is a special announcement on behalf of Stan and Oslo for an extra-special accomplishment. Yesterday was Absolute 15 for Oslo and it tied Ilsa's record for Absolutes won by a longhair. For that matter, very few dachshunds of ANY coat variety have been Absolute Winner (Best in Trial) at 15 field trials!
So all these years later, FC Ilsa v Dorndorf L becomes co-holder of that illustrious record - with her talented 10 year old grandson Oslo. C@NGRATULATI@NS x 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very proud of every one and all of your awesome achievements! With Stan Knoll handling, FC Seiko v Dorndorf L TD was Absolute Winner of 63 dachshunds at the field trial in Kirbyville, Texas today!
Congratulations to the Knoll family, how nice a birthday present for Tina! One of Tero Ratinen's longhaired bitches working natural earth on badger and raccoon dog. Raccoon dog, a small species of canine with body size like that of fox, is not a species found in the US. Indigenous to East Asia, the raccoon dog was introduced into Latvia in 1948 and is abundant now throughout Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Happy Dog photo. A working dog is always happy. ~ Tero Ratinen, Finland Tia and the other dogs from Kennel Basotto wish You a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! ~ Inge Bruno Thomsen, Denmark Thank you, Inge! The same returned to you and your household!
Teo sure has the look of his mother Tia in this photo of her. I am very glad to have him and I am thankful to you that I do! Thank You, Lord God, for the Greatest Gift the world has ever known, the gift of Yourself. To all my friends and family and everyone else, I wish a Wonder-full and Well-lit Christmas 2014!
I have made friends through my website and I am so glad that mother and daughter Deb and Kristen Koch are among them.
Kristen, Thank You x five!!!!! The ornaments are wonderful and I smile each time I look at them! ...but she does have a cowlick! No, it wasn't me. I was not eating our brand new dog bed. It was...um...Viljo! Yes, Viljo was eating our brand new bed. Basotto's Teo, imported mid-September from Inge Thomsen in Denmark, is nine months old now. I believe Teo's potential is enormous and I have started him in two different daily training programs. He learns very quickly and we are having a lot of fun! Yesterday I thought about how few photos I have taken of Teo so far. Today, then, with the warmer temp and the still-dry sky, we went out and took several. It is hard to get attention and take photos by myself so I fed the cat close by and that is what Teo is watching!
Nexus has been living with his good friend Jennifer Fry in Columbus since September. A few weeks after Nexus went to Jennifer's, Christian Stock met the two of them at a park where Christian took this wonderful photo! Christian posted it today on Facebook. During the fall, I had the pleasure to take photos of a very accomplished dachshund champion: DC Nexus v Dorndorf L TD JE RN VC BHP-G Wa-T LH. Not only has Nexus achieved a lot in competition, but he also has a wonderful temperament. ~ Christian Stock, Columbus, OH Thank you, David. It is a beautiful card. Merry Christmas!
Hanging out on the couch with the kids. Gretel loves her uncle Nexus. ~ Jennifer Fry Thank you for taking such good care of him, Jennifer!
Many thanks to Matt Leonberger for the great photo of Stan Knoll and Oslo!
